It's the Making of Avatar ... The Bootleg Video. And it's taking the Internet by storm!
There are those who wonder "real or fake," and it's a damn good question, except it just doesn't really matter. This is a funny-as-hell video, both looking and poking fun at the business of filming films inside the movie theatre, and then illegally packaging them and selling them, complete with copyright-infringed artwork on the cover of the mass-printed-DVD cover, all for a discount price.
This is where some mainstream media outlet would put in a quote from a film studio exec, something along the lines of "we discussed this controversial video, and we can't quite decide if this video glorifies or spoofs the criminal actions of the wanton group of people who violate the law and blatantly rips off the hard work of the many people who put their life into these movies."
We couldn't reach anyone, since 90 percent of Hollywood is on vacation this week, but the quote reads well, doesn't it? So, now you have it all in front of you. Since you've read about it, maybe it's time to take a peek at the wild and crazy and controversial on the 469 Gazagillion Dollar epic, "Avatar!"
