As part of a brilliant "back issue" marketing campaign, "Elle Magazine" has released outtakes from their June, 2009 issue featuring Megan Fox.
This has to be considered a simply magnificent ploy by the newsstand periodical to drive sales of that issue into the 
"sold out" column. It also begs one to think about what else can be done in a struggling economy
for publishers to make an extra buck with material that they've already spent their money on.
For example, what if Hugh Hefner dug through the archives at the Playboy offices and released outtakes from Pam Anderson, or Anna Nicole Smith, or the famous Marilyn Monroe shoots? Or even if he released outtakes from the WWE Divas series? Think about those extra never-before-seen nudes of Torrie Wilson, or Christy Hemme, or Maria Kanellis, or Candice Michelle, or Joanie "Chyna" Laurer. Well, we can all skip those. I'm sure HHH has some hidden away from Stephanie. Then again, maybe he doesn't.
Getting back to the topic at hand, these outtakes are a great marketing tool once you've already gone to the next issue, and still have a warehouse half-full with returned magazines.
