The Last Emperor Returns to the Cage in 5 Weeks!
StrikeForce will make its next big move as the MMA promotion will invade the world's number one media market on February 12th with a major show at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey headlined by the return to the cage of "The Last Emperor" Fedor Emelianenko.
The legendary Russian bad ass's opponent is now slouch. Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva, who survived a rocky first round on December 4th in St. Louis to crush King of the Cage Light Heavyweight Champion Mike Kyle, will be the man to oppose Emelianenko.
Another huge match on the event is rumored to be a clash between former UFC Heavyweight Champions Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett.
The StrikeForce move into the New York market is especially interesting because it kicks off the promotion's long-rumored eight-man tournament, with Fedor vs Bigfoot and Arlovski vs Barnett as quarterfinal fights.
The big rumor swirling at the moment is that a third quarterfinal fight, this one between Fabricio Werdum and Brett Rogers is expected to take place in Columbus, Ohio, on March 5th.

A fourth and final tournament bout, still unannounced, is also set to take place on the March card. Semi-final and final bouts would then be held later in Twenty Eleven.
